You just don't get it. These gems are overpowered. They are more overpowered than the skull gems that DSO only allowed one per person. They retroactively removed the extra ones with a script.

Yes, the P2P crowd will have these before the F2P crowd, but NO ONE should have more than one of these. They should be limited the way the skull gems were limited. But BP sees the profit in allowing people to gamble to get more than one of these. Then, at some point in time, we will probably see a script to take away all but one of these and replace the removed ones with 1000 andermant, or something pitiful like that.

I'm not "out to get" the P2P. I'm not advocating for the F2P. What I am interested in is FAIR PLAY. BP is not doing that. BP is allowing something overpowered in the game so they can get A LOT of money out of people. Then they will, almost certainly, see the "error of their ways" and take all but one of them away from us. So, get as many of these as you like, but be warned; they will probably take them away at some point and not compensate you fairly.

End of debate on my part.

You both should see the smiley on BP's face. :)

I don't know about Multi-Sev but here are my gems. And devs should make them craftable so I can use them all ... well if P2P can use and craft special gems why can't I do the same? :)

I don't know why are you talking to a wall. :D
By saying that(what they said) they proved your words 100%. And it looks like this. :D

I have no problem saying what head gems I have. I have six, total. I have the exact ones as trakilaki, in his dark helmet, except I use the skull instead of the +5 conc/1% HP (rage instead of conc for me). The +5 rage gem is in my sargon horns (stored in my locker). I sold all of the shadow gems a long time ago, since they aren't worth using and we can't make anything worthwhile out of them.

:D ... exactly. That's why I wrote, "End of debate on my part." These guys will never understand until the trap is already sprung. So they will fall for it willingly. It's no longer my concern. I said my piece. I'm not going to type until I'm "blue in the fingers" to people who can't see the forest for the trees. If they can't see reason, and BP won't acknowledge reason, then I have run into a "wall", as you say.

I also think that those Jester gems should be "unique" allowing player only attach one. +20% movement speed is just too ridiculous...
Why don't you start selling "instant win scrolls" right click to win the match. LOL seriously guys. Sit down a minute or even two and think how those will affect especially in 5vs5...

Yes, I think they have either (1) thought of how overpowered they are and decided to leave them, for a while, to make a lot of money - or - (2) have not given it nearly the amount of thought it deserves. But I believe they will, eventually, and then they will correct the problem. I feel a little bad for those who will have gambled a lot of money to get five of the huge gems and then have them nerfed/removed. I know they won't compensate those people fairly. There is no way they can, it being gambling that generates these.

If "they" decide to remove them later on, when it's a problem (not IF it is a problem) ... That will just end up with angry customers who has been spent a lot in the gambling table.... So best way to avoid that is to act quickly and make the correction right away.

I agree 100%. They should see that these gems are over-powered, in quantity, and they should put profit concerns aside and act on that knowledge now... before it becomes a problem. But, look what I'm saying! The producer of one of the most expensive free-to-play games in history, put aside profit concerns, ahahaha! I crack myself up :D

I love/hate these forums. The self-appointed "People's Voice's" decide what is right or wrong for the rest of us lol. Greg, you really need to give a few people a time-out.
No one knows the reasoning behind dev game decisions. They are the shadow people living in a world apart from us. If they want to give us perks, well it's about time so thanks for that as it doesn't happen very often.
You know the old saying Damned if you Do and Damned if you Don't. The Devs, CM's, BA's and Mods absolutely cannot win with this DSO forum crowd. Everything is demanded and nothing is appreciated.
I stopped actively participating in forums once they changed to the new. Many players have left game since and many of the most entertaining voices left with them. Good times back then, good times.
To a certain few I say just stop it. Really, just stop it. The game is not ours to control. All decisions are made by the Dev team and Managers. And ultimately BP. See if DSO doesn't bring in a profit, there's a really good chance the game will just end or be sold to a conglomerate who will just ruin it completely.
Jesters bring in money. Fact. And if a player can tell his/her friends about the good stuff he/she got from them, well it actually motivates others to try it too. It's a common sense WORKING marketing and sales tool.
So I say to you self-appointed voices that YOUR opinions are as valid as a brand new player coming into game and posting his/her first thread or thought. No more important, no less important. Stop spamming the forums with what may be and why YOU think it's a bad thing or good thing, whatever, and demanding that an opinion that doesn't match yours change theirs. (Oh and harping on a subject that has been beaten to death on the old forums through now in the current new forums, PVP THAT IS, is a huge waste of reading space.)

And I do not know how a PvP topic got started here anyway when there are SO MANY THREADS ABOUT PVP ALREADY.

So I have a question for Greg.
Why did the dev team decide a 5 lvl raise in the future is adequate knowing how fast end game players can level now ? New endgame in 2 months after new expansion introduction?
Seems to me it's short sighted but then I have no clue as to the actual allowances the dev team has from BP Corporate, so I will assume they get as frustrated as the player base does about allowable game changes or lack thereof. My opinion, 5 levels will not bring enough new into the game and it will just revert back to being a farming game soon after expansion introduction.

*afterthought, one more question Greg, can you all add a "dislike" button under each post next to the "like" button?

Oh, ok, so what have you appointed yourself? You're allowed to question a decision made by the team, and give your opinion, but we're not allowed to question a different decision and give our opinions... according to you... makes sense

Oh no, not going to argue with you lol. It's just that you made the same points in about 5 posts about some stupid stones arguing with someone who made 2 posts about stupid stones and had a different view of yours lol. See harping your opinion repeatedly is a bit overkill.
I personally know now that according to you some game aspect is bad and needs to be changed. I also know that the same game aspect from another person is good and it's a welcome change to the game.
Who is right and who is wrong?
I know how you will answer, I just hope you won't is all.
I read your opinions on the same subject and whether I agree or disagree, that's on me. I just think that most posts get talked to death and regurgitated in a different context while still saying the same thing.
That is all from me. I have to give my dog a bath now.

if i understood well (because its hard to read multiple big posts)you dissagree about bigpoint's decision not allowing crafting helmet gems.
i believe these gems should become craftable like all the others so we will be able to use them all and don't keep them hoping to characters with 2 or 3 heads.

Hey guys, could you please stop arguing about these OP gems, its pointless...and you will achieve nothing, except a headache!!!

I believe that GoP are 100 times worst, rather these new gems....but did any of you complained about it....no!!!
Because the GoP at lvl 45 didn't made much difference in PvP, so nobody complained about it, but for the low lvl's it made a huge difference and almost nobody complained about it or care for it.

Now these new gems, will favor P2P vs low P2P/F2P in PvP at lvl 45, but sooner or later most of you heavy players will have them too.
BP didn't care for the unfairness that the GoP brought to PvP and neither will they care with these new gems.
BP cares for money only and not happy players, a desperate player will most certainly spend money on premium to get 10 to 500 gold coins per day (depends on how much you play) to try his luck.

You guys need to face the facts, BP will never back down....they never did!!!
One more thing, I didn't saw anyone complaining about the Sargon's set, it will be scaled to your lvl....how unfair will this set be to the low lvl's PvP's??? Most of the low/mid lvl's don't have good and strong lvl 45 friends to obtain that set!!!

Anyway, good luck upon your quest of self interests!!! BP is counting on you to do that!!!

If everybody abandon the forum (like he claims for himself) there wouldn't be any forum.
    Hi BoD.
If you talking about new event, Sargon's items are not scaled only level 40 and level 45.
Heredur's Old Royal Crystal (I play a mag on TS so I don't know the unique's name for other classes) is scaled though.
Are we talking about same ... or ... there is something else that I am not aware of?

    Hi trakilaki,

Your suspicion made me to double check and I made a mistake of misreading the post on the wiki page.
So thanks for the heads up, trakilaki....and I apologize to everyone for my mistake, sorry guys.:(

But still, with or without the Sargon's set...I have a low lvl with the Dragan set and its too powerful to have, if others can't achieve it as easy as i can without the help of lvl 45, than it shouldn't be available, only for +30 lvl (like PW).

I've always said that you should only be able to increase the level of an item up to 5 levels higher than it's starting level. After that, it should start to raise the "requiered" level. That way, a LVL 50 item could be used by a LVL 45, but a LVL 20 item that started at LVL 10 would require LVL 15 to use but again, I am talking more common sense than the developers seem to have before they make game breaking decisions.

And?? Actually you make some good points but i think the real problem is the old players fearing trading system overall.

Would be sad if someone with a big pocket of money could buy everything that you guys farmed for in the past 3 years withing seconds right? :)
You been looking for predator/cloacked wrath/starlight for months and then a system comes that allows probably only rich players to get it all without even trying to farm for it. ;)

That's the real fear for you old players. Something you guys ofc will always deny and come with other excuses. ;)

Could bots farm predator? Could bots farm rohans set (etc)?

What could bots farm that would be worth selling in a trading system? Low items as well would take lots of time and require lots of luck to get a good one, since they removed grimmagstone - sooo green items or what the hell? Haha :D

Maybe they could farm rohans set etc, but still requires massive luck to get and by that time they probably already be banned.

Would be sad to have farmed for nothing if you suddenly just could buy it all right?

i've been playing since the beggining of the game.i have found almost everything.(not mortis mask yet).i really want trading.you know why?because its ridicoulous to melt items which most people dont have and i have double and triple.i could sell these items l in a good prize(i dont care who buys them-p2p or f2p-i only care for my character .if i could sell them i would have big profit and with this i would buy future items that i need.you are mistaken that old players dont want trade.players who dont want trade are these who never tried a game with trading before and afraid of something new.

  19. trakilaki

    trakilaki Living Forum Legend

That is not true. It doesn't matter if you are new or old player.
    1. F2P would flee from game ... because only P2P can afford buying items.
    2. Even P2P would leave eventually. Most of them would only buy and play stupid arena. and when there is nothing else to achieve or to get opponents for arena fights ... they will be gone too ... in 2-4 months.
    3. You can't stop cheating, exploiting or any other kind of abuse in trading system

And for once post from your main account. I am not afraid to post from mine.

This is the best argument you got in favor of trading system?

OK. Let me show you the real truth about trading system. This is just one of the million examples:

***Quote*** I purchased 3 gems via in game trade, paid 15m. Everything looks fine. Upon trade I still see 3 gems in my inventory, then seller was telling me to see again and when I check again, 2 is gone. The player has openly admitted to me that there is a hack or 3rd party program that allow this to be accomplished.
So I carry on to report the incident to Blizzard via Support, Ticket, not asking for gold restoration but the following:
    1) In game trade system should be looked into as it is easily tempered;
    2) Investigate my claims; and
    3) Players using hack to be penalized.

I think those are the basic rights to us players. If in game trade is there, it should be safe to use by players. If the system is easily tempered, it should be fixed.

But sad to know that GM ****** classified this as accidental loss.
Then when I slap their own D3 exploitation policy on their face,
    their reply is as follows:

"Customer Support will not be able to intervene in cases where one player takes advantage of another, this includes restoration of the reported losses. Because of this, it is up to every player to be aware of the systems in Diablo III that will protect them and exercise good judgment when trading with others in-game."
And the ticket was forced RESOLVED and closed.

It's ok if you don't want to return my gold, but atleast do some justice and investigate the case and ban those respective players.

This is not news to most of us. The game has way too much exploits that need to be addressed, rather than tweaking the game items and drop rates, they really should focus on item duping, in game trade and such.
    ***/Quote***

And this is happening in every single game with trading system(any kind of trading).
If the biggest companies like Blizzard and others can't handle the situation ... you think BP will?

From experience I know one fact ... that the biggest supporters of such system are the ones who are already prepared with various 3rd party "hacking" software and tricks in their sleeves so they could start scavenging the system from the day one ... if it is to be implemented.

ok but this game has fine support teams where you can communicate in you own language and can have imidiate answer.
once i had thrown my arrows with 5 big saphires on them by accident and after i communicated i got them back in 1 hour time.i believe the same can be done on trade ''accidents'' too.
as they told me they can check the history long time back and see what has happened.
i feel more secure when i write to a support team in my country than to write to US and wait 5-6 days for answer.
