New unique set with R138

strange this wasn't stated in the release notes of 138. But along with the epic mount Jumoungs War Horse, there also a unique set called Jumong's Armor. Does look pretty imho, but I doubt it will be a good set

And the set bonus for 5/5 is 25% damage... not bad IMHO.

 

Holy crap! I like! Not only it's good stats, I like the fact that they actually made armor based on the epic K-drama series: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jumong_(TV_series) [For those who haven't seen the series before, awesome show] which is actually based on 고주몽, the founding monarch of Gogureyo.

Okay BP... you're starting to get my attention in a very good way. I have a thing for ancient Asian history and you're hitting a sweet spot.

 

I wont argue about the stats ... but that set is so ugly.

 

Yeah, the stats look fine. I just wouldn't want to wear the thing. I'm not into the whole "Crouching Tiger/Hidden Dragon" look

 

They make costumes for a reason.

 

Unfortunately, I don't like many of the costumes. Chameleon skin is OK, but it gets boring for me pretty quickly. The only costume I wear, and I wear it all the time, is the Shadow Minion Pauldrons. I only wear that as the lesser of two evils... to hide the greater evil of the traffic cone-like Dark Pauldrons.

On a more thread-relevant note, I found the gloves from this set a few minutes ago in Ravencaw normal. I guess I'll keep them for a while. They gave me a good reason to melt two of the three unimproved pieces of Sargon's set I've been keeping for no reason. I'll keep Sargon's horns, for now, unless I get more than four unused head gems.

 

Thank you for the tip! Too bad I'm only lv 42 during the event because I farm out of Castle Ravencaw Normal quite a bit and probably would have an okay chance had I'd be 1 level higher. Still think Jumong is a sweet, sweet set to have especially if you're a SW... man, I need the extra HP badly.

 

Yeah, but the good thing is it can drop anywhere/anytime from mobs 43 and up so you'll have a chance when you're that level (or if/when grouped with someone that level).

 

Good to know that too! Alas, my luck thus far has not been as fortunate when I group with my higher farming partners (lv 45) during the event so I'm not going to hold my breath; however, I was able to farm enough stuff to craft some lv 45 legendary gear thanks to them during the event.

I will start farming Thunder Crest next week. I could technically do it now but promised my main gaming partner in crime that I'll wait for him to turn lv 42 first (he's lv 41 bordering next level up) so we could explore that map together.

In the meantime, I hope the remaining pieces of the Jumong set will turn up for you. I know the stats for Dark Pauldrons are nice (debating whether to spend Draken for pieces of the set or not) but man... I understand what you mean by traffic cone reference. Ergh.
