As the title suggests, I have three ideas that would be really easy to implement but would make players very happy.

These first two would not take much work at all and would result in wide spread happiness.

    1. Put shabby chests in the PWs.
Most endgame players spend 90% of their PvE time or more in one parallel world or another. This means the only times they get Lock Picks is when they are slumming it in a regular dungeon looking for something special, when they gamble, or when they are a progress reward in an event. Also, this would give a chance for some more ander, blue ess, and items.

    2. All mini-bosses in the PWs should drop an Extraordinary Item at a minimum.
Right now, the 5 knights in Halls of the Dead all drop an Extraordinary. For that reason, it is the best place to farm glyphs. Because of that, many people don't spend much time in Q1-Q5 meaning it is difficult for players trying to complete those quests to find a group. However, if all mini-bosses (some of which are significantly harder than the knights) dropped Exos or higher, I'm sure more people would run the other PWs, allowing for some variety in endgame farming.

This third idea is mostly just a gripe and I could do without if the other two were done.

    3. Offensive Off Hand Items should have offensive stats, and Defensive Items should have Defensive stats (with the exception of uniques).
First off, this would necessitate creating an offensive off hand for DKs. Call them Battle Shields if you would.
How often these days do people open a legendary blocking item only to be disappointed that it has crit, crit damage, and damage on it when they want block rate. Or they are trying to open an offensive item and are ticked off by seeing armor or HP. Offensive items should come with Crit rate, Crit damage, Damage and maybe small amounts of speed. Defensive items should have block rate, block damage reduction, health, armor, and resistance. I know some people will be ticked and say "no HP/Armor/Resist for a shield," but I am still thinking about balance and I can't claim to be "fair" if I say "defensive, but I only want perfect shields to pop out." I know a great many DKs who would love to run a 1H with a true offensive offhand... something with 800+ crit, some damage, etc and no block.

Great ideas Baragain. 1 and 2 would both add to community elements of the game and offer variety end-game players are all wanting. We all want to utilize our time where we can get the most benefit. HOD is popular because of that. But, I've been running Grotto, Grimm and cave a lot lately, even though the drops are not as good, simply because it breaks up the endless monotony of HOD. Since I'm not doing the quests there, I kill a path to the bosses skipping the mini's. There is no motivation to kill them.

As for 3; it deserves a good smart EDIT joke about keeping DK's unhappy or giving them something to pew pew about:D But I agree that variety is the spice of life and DK's deserve that option. I would make it something other than a shield though so others could visually identify their makeup like SW/RA. Maybe a dagger or spiked knuckles.

I like the dagger or spiked knuckles. I didn't but though into the aesthetics, I spent my time thinking about the end results.

Indeed, I'm not much into aesthetics either. I've mentioned before i'd be happy to look like a pack of lifesavers carrying a toothbrush if my damage was good. My comment was more directed at other peeps ability to know how their comrade(or opponent) is geared. Like the difference shield/quiver or book/orb. Your posts are always well thought out.

In terms of being able to tell the difference, I was thinking that the "battle shields" would always have a spike on the front (like a Scottish targe), but your suggestion was better because a shield implies block and I'm not talking about having any block for the DK's offensive offhand item (as opposed to the two "offensive" shields that exist at the moment, Namely the "Shield of Slaughter" and "Sargon's Shadow Shield" which have reduced block traded for offensive stats.)

to be honest ... I'm just wondering when they will take away the guaranteed EO drop of those knights in m2 ... ...

T'is a shame that there are "exceptions" like the EO drops or shabby's that are different from the standard, but we are not sure if it is intentional or an oversight. The prevalent "exceptions" aka bugs often make me hesitate to talk about them in the forum as any beneficial bug seems to get hammered fast; whereas, the nuisance bugs aren't addressed with similar fervor. T'is a shame.
