Oh my goodness, what have you guys done to the wood drop rates in Blackborg? The average drop per run is 75 wood. That's atrocious! That means it takes 38 or so runs to get enough wood for event! That's 266 or more realm frags. At an average of 1-4 realm frags per dungeon run that really stinks. You are taking the fun right out of this game guys. All we do is farm, farm and more farm...I think you need to take some serious action steps here.

Well how many runs will it take to finish event if you had enough wood. Seems like another 30 or so runs? So I figure 60-70 runs a month.

farming for drakens?.. really?... i don't find anything worth at gnob's... i don't go for new/full moons... current legendaries are MUCH better and EASIER to get than gnob's stuff... doesn't worth the time.. unless you're running for customes...

i dont see anything now, but there might be new stuff with the level 50 expansion, and i could see myself dropping all my drakens then for a temporary edge with level 50 gear.

For example, they might rework the dark set so that it is bought at your level, like they did with the moon sets.

lol who cares about 50 now guys, that isn't what this topic is about. It is going to take the average player a minimum of 60 portals to farm and run event, just for the progress. If they want to farm boss for drops, there goes 10-20 more. We are talking 550 plus realm frags..
I don't know about the rest of you, but if all my time is spent farming frags for portals for wood farming or silver ess, then portals to do events. Sure not alot of time left to enjooy any other parts of the game, add in running events at the same time. I didn't come on this game to do **Chores** I came on it to have fun and meet and make new friends. Chores belong in the *real world* Games are for learning and fun, so how about increasing the wood drop rate, seems the simple solution to a very complex issue.
I reallly do enjoy the game, and have fun, sadly like many the constant farming is getting frustrating, without a whole lot of benefits to show for it. Maybe a surprise drop of some off the wall thing in both of the Moon maps would add a new life to farming them :).. Everyone knows how far we go for free draken, anders, or even clovers now :)
    Have fun and enjoy

Blackborg is about as tough as a walk in the park, but it does take a few minutes per run.
Go 2-3 times a day, when you want a break from the heavy action, and you'll have all the wood you need each month.

If something else is a better deal, do that instead. :)

That concept has paid off for me over and over again in this game. Anticipate changes and prepare for them with whatever is available. It's why I farmed over 700 Amphorae keys in the last Sargon event, stashed 3 tabs of leg's for when R139 came, currently have 200 surprise chests waiting for level 50 etc etc etc. Most peeps keep event items to get a head start the next time it comes around.

Eventually the Dev's will put Gnob back on the radar screen and do something with his offerings. It will probably be post 50. I blew a few Draken on frivolous stuff last time cause I could. So now I sit at 14k and counting. GO ahead dev's make the new stuff cost 5 or 6k draken to purchase. I'll be ready.

Ahahahaha, I totally read that incorrectly at quick first glance. Wish people would just type fairy wood; so I won't go, "LoL whut?" from misinterpreting offhand.

And to answer your question on a more serious level: Too many runs to collect the fairy wood for me to bother finishing the event personally. You have to grind endlessly on a daily basis to collect enough fairy wood to complete the event successfully; and with my limited online playing schedule, it's not worth it. I just join with my guildies to try getting drops from Karbossa if they need my assistance for damage control, otherwise I'll just stick to my daily login bonuses and the odd daily quest pick.

    SailorSaturn,

    Sorry about that.

For those who want to farm re event build up realm fragments and farm fairywood till you have about 6k. Once event goes live take a vacation and stay there non stop. Once complete all firewood get some help and kill karbosa 6 times :)

Don't apologize; the original wording of your question just made me blush. I work in a medical background so I'm too anatomically correct when I read into certain things.

To farm wood it's a piece of cake
Go 5-10 runs 1 day then next day 5-10 runs q3 for realms thats all.
That is really ain't hard guys :D

It's not hard... it's bloody time consuming and more boring repetitive grind, that's all.

Anyone else having a bug with the fairy wood? This first quest where you click on the witches pot to test the wood? I can not click on the pot and therefore can not continue.

i dont understand this why 6K wood when you only need about 3K and why kill karaboosa 6 times, when it takes 23 runs to complete event you can kill him 23 times.

It sounds just strange when i see this post. This game is based on farming! Or u farm or u buy! I did about 600 frags from the last moon event to this one. Wood farming has changed , since it used to drop 2 woods and now its dropping 5 from most of the trees. Its not about time spent doing this or that , but this game needs farm. Do you guys think they will let us do 3 runs and get 1k woods because we dont have time to play? In this game u pay with money or u pay with ur time! Isnt that clear yet?

It takes 10 wood to make 5 fire guaranteed still need more than 3k exactly so 6k will hopefully make sure you have enough.

You will only get 6 scrolls with 3k firewood.

I agree it is either pay or farm, however players need incentive to do one or the other.

Option 1. Farm 30+ times to collect enough fairy wood to complete event.

The drops during the farming are basically worthless, so it's just mind numbing grind. Even if you put up with that and do the event, what do you get? More worthless drops and the hope that you can get random uniques that more often than not turn out to be worthless. So my incentive is ?????

Option 2. Buy all the fairy wood.

The drops don't change just because you pay, so again my incentive is ?????

As I've said many times here on the forum, with a slight change players would have incentive. This isn't exactly rocket science. Provide a decent reason to farm or pay. Add some gem drops, and some better gear drops, add some purpose to the draken. This would encourage players to play and ultimately give them more incentive to pay.

What would players do if they got great gear ???? Oh yeah, they farm or buy gems to put in it...

What would players do if they had something to spend draken on ???? Oh yeah, they would look forward to Gnob.

What would players do if they got great gem drops ??? Oh yeah, they would farm or buy better gear to put them in.

What would players do if there was some purpose to the grind ??? They would play more and encourage their friends to do the same.

    Or......

They continue to lower good gear drops, increase the pointless grinding, take away any reason to spend draken, and finally force us to look for other games to play...

You need 1620 fire to complete the event, so 3250 wood would to guarantee completion, assuming you also do the cauldron for amphora key quest, and 10 wood to 5 fire exchange rate.

You're probably mixing up numbers with the bloods need to complete wolf event, which is 3300 or thereabouts.
