Why cant I damage Herald (difficult)

I'm level 35 trying to kill level 40 Herald. Why can't I damage him?

No, it shows damage but his health doesn't go down at all.

 

I think he regens your damage, ergo your damage is too low. Try using red essence and see what happens.

 

Honestly his hp is really high. He is designed to be done with 45 players. Yes there are some level 45's that can solo him but for the most part he 8 a group kill boss.

I kill him..takes abit oh time..but I see little chunks of his health being taken out with my shot..in normal mode he does not last ten seconds.hahaha ...and the players I help don't even have a shot and don't even get to him..when ya can do that, try him solo ..on hard and hell go down ..you simply make stats, any way ya can glyghs of power, farm smaller maps 1000 times, make gems out of it. stay away from groups, or the kids that play this game wanting to run all over the place, with aimless game style , ranting about their chars, but they cant kill these guys. discipline farmin I say, do hailstone 500 runs bro..after that ..youll see upgrade your gear Tereran9..and then you will post a new thread ..all yeahh I got it...I am now killing herold in pw world solo too..awesome..I have all those achievements...remember , a lot of you said I couldn't do things.. well well youll eat your words..hahahaa

 

Herold is not in pw world at all, maybe you ment Heredur?

If you're lv35, your focus should not be any Hard Bosses, let alone soloing them.

 

I couldn't agree more w/Morinphen! I solo'd Herald hard w/my l-45 SW probably 6 months ago. All I recall is running about madly for an hour, desperately trying to stay alive while running through 2+ stacks of blue (stacks were 999 at the time). Once that maggot was subdued, I recall wiping my brow and wondering why I spent so much time and energy for little more than bragging rights in return. I haven't been back since but I'm sure one day.......
Herald hard will be waiting for you but at L-35 you still have a whole and exciting, unexplored world in front of you to focus on! I don't speak for the DSO community but I'm sure all wish you only the best.

Oh God.. please stop calling him Herold. Herald actually means something - bringer of news or a prophet if you want. He ain't Herold. At least call him Harold.. at least that's a name.

 

He doesn't regen damage and I hit him enough to be able to tell the difference, which is none. That's my point.

You are right, he doesn't regen, but he has MASSIVE HP. I'm sure you are doing damage, but not enough to see any real mark on the HP he has. If I were betting, you probably have no more than 300 (maybe 400) max damage at LVL 35. Damage like that, solo, would barely register on him. I have 1598-1869, and most of my hits are small and insignificant compared to his total HP unless I uses blues to speed things up.

I hope this is just another one of your troll threads tereran9. If not, just stop playing because you honestly don't understand the game mechanics. And if you are serious, not just trolling, post a video. It makes no sense unless you are experiencing a bug that no one has seen up to this point, and I seriously have my doubts.

 

400 damage is plenty enough to see a difference... or it should be. Even the slightest sliver of a difference, otherwise he has ~100k HP?

I thought all level 40 bosses had 35-60k HP

 

I think people call it Herold because his unique staff drop on Hard Mode used to be called "Herold's Mighty Staff". Not sure, though... but I'm pretty certain I saw it somewhere with that name in the past.

Able to tell a difference which is none? OK, I didn't want to be rude, but as you're not getting it, here's the hard truth: you are too weak, that's why you "can't damage him". You do, but by very little. 400 damage is NOT enough to take down Herald Hard.
