    I don't know why are you whining ... your andermant drop looks awesome to me ... think about it ... in 3 years you can collect 300 andermants. :eek:

    Don't underestimate customers negative perception, Haruki. Pls relook posts #798 and #799.

    You do know that BP is requiring too much time from people for doing anything.
    You do know that BP is requiring too much time and ridicolous amount of grinding to drop 'rare' items.

    On last twitch Greg said something about 'random drops'. Many players invited you and team to review the dynamics of the whole drop system, basing their feedback on a large amount of played time. The current system is with any evidence affected by malfunction. For instance, i can guess that on YOUR side you see that the whole system has dropped X unique weapons (like Cloaked Wrath or Predator) in Y time-window overall the server, BUT did you ever deeply analyzed how these drops are distributed overall players IDs ? That is OUR side view, and it seems totally faulty.

    And again, we are supposed to have a life too, not you only. Thank you to take care about this fundamental concept.

    I think humans are the targeted customer base. As for a more narrower target it would make others feel left out. No one wants that.

    Your point is right on. Now that the event map drops ander in 14's, like Varholm and Blackborg, it's not so bad there, when it does drop.

    I would prefer to get a square deal in maps of my choosing. Being herded makes me really uncomfortable, having seen what happens to livestock and farm animals. (I thought a very long time about making an incredibly cheap and callous shot here, but this is as close as I will permit myself to get.)

    Thank you for answering our questions. i have some follow ups.

    1. That's good to hear. Has the fix for this "bugture" been scheduled to be included in an upcoming release? Would it be included in R157 or should we expect to see it some time after it?

    2. There are a few reasons why i suggested login screen.
    i have played a few other games that had pop-ups and that's the one that seemed less obtrusive to me. It kinda became part of my login routine. Then again i'm a f2p so i have higher tolerance than most payed players for pop ups and things of that nature.
    Another game had ads after i got back to town, which i found more annoying.
    The problem with clicking through ads is primarily that it happens during battle. i don't think clicking through them in an urban area would be as much of an issue.

    so maybe consider Mr. Arnando's suggestion of
    "Suggestion: Please implement the pop-ups in a way that they can only be shown when we are in a safe (city) map, or AT LEAST not while we are in boss maps!"?

    The problem with disabling ads for 24 hours is that even if i checked cash shop before every time we start a run it is quite possible that the 24 hour period would end during the run and if we have to use cash shop in the middle of battle we'd still get pop ups.

    If we have to have pop ups in the cash shop the way they are now, can at least their size and position be changed so that they aren't blocking the shop and we are still able to make purchases?

    I would strongly recommend disabling popups for payed players at least for the length of premium. While most f2p players understand that pop ups are expected if you aren't paying for the game your paying customers are bound to be put off by it.

    3. Will the improvement to lvl 50 legendary enchantment minimums be also applied to extraordinary, magic, and improved gear as well? Or are there no plans to increase enchantment minimums for lvl 50 items that aren't legendaries?
    Yes. i was referring to minimum/maximum enchantment values for lvl 50 items. Primarily so that players can understand where we stand when we get different enchantment lines on our gear, but also so that we can see if improvements such as one in R156 have been implemented and are working correctly.

    4. This is kind of the reason why i was looking for the min/max enchantment tables. If we had the information it would be easier to verify if that was truly the case. i generally try to compare best lines on gear that i find and i also consult with my friends about what they see and as an example none of us have seen damage lines higher than 31 on lvl 50 rings, amulets, or adornments whereas i have multiple lvl 45 items with damage lines of 27 and 28, so we should be seeing damage lines of up to 36 on lvl 50 gear.

    Are you sure, that is actually the case? Is it possible the enchantments aren't actually 30% more? Or are extremely unlikely to roll 30% higher?

    Please understand at the end of the day players will do what makes sense. If we consistently see better lines on lvl 45 gear than lvl 50 gear we will farm lvl 45 gear regardless of the assurances we are being given.

    5. Yes. I am referring to lightning strike. My apologies for not clarifying.
    I constantly see the message in PVE. Actually more so than in PVP. Can you tell us at what attack speed we will start seeing the message? my attack speed is 1.83 and i've heard my friends say that they see it at even lower speeds.
    Can the delay be removed altogether the way it was before R155? It is quite frustrating to not be able to use consecutive lightning strikes right away in Nahuatlan, although i imagine plenty of andermagic spawners and their minions are glad to have a little more time to kill us. Or if not can it be changed so that it affects players with speed of higher than 2.01 break point? i think 1.83 is above average speed, but not extremely high. And i would hate to lower my attack speed, since it affects my reaction time when using different skills.

    here we come with the latest array of CM answers before weekend kicks in.



    Yes, the Ammon set will be reworked for this renewed PW. Regarding the quest issue, there will be new quest items that you will have to farm but the old ones will still be available if someone wants to complete that set. As for the New Moon and Full Moon events, I would say that the same concept applies but please wait for final confirmation from us when that happens.


    Opening and closing those two windows before a boss run for 72/24 hours does not seem to me like a huge waste of time - but I get your point. You are right with that the message of Premium should not show up so often to already Premium users and probably extending the deactivation period would be more convenient... I will rise the question though.


    Second hidden achievement? You mean, in Lor'Tac?
    I would say that you should keep on looking for a very specific monster, like no other. I think he likes the darkness so you should probably search in dungeon-like places... He probably has bad breath as well; fortunately you do not need to experience that. /endofthehint


    Yes, of course you are supposed to have a life, you are right, that's a rather fundamental concept. Even for us. One of the biggest complaints about Dark Dwarf Heist is, for instance, the small duration of the event plus the time needed to complete it or the challenges without going bonkers... and I personally understand that and we will convey this to the team once it is over. On the other hand, we commented that the drops will be enhanced in the future, starting with the Andermant ones. That's something that the team is studying right now.

    What is our primary customer type? From a demographic perspective, a lot of different profiles apply here, payers and non-payers. The ideal scheme we are committed to is to keep those types as satisfied as possible.

    1. Yes, we are pushing this little bugture to rel157. It's quite easy to fix. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
    2. Issue with the pop-ups: as I wrote to Mr Arnando, we will bring this issue to the team. I would personally welcome less obtrusive panels each time I open the TS and maybe this could be realistically modified. Do not quote me on this yet - but we will bring the topic to the discussion.
    3. I am unaware of any immediate plans made by the game designers to apply changes to those enchantment values to other quality items, such as extraordinary or magic, in that respect. Let me double-check with them once again and I will come back on Monday to let you guys know. But as far as I know, they have other balancing issues in their minds right now (drops, DK, glyphs, PvP...).
    4. We are currently discussing whether we should reveal this data or not - indeed a lot of forumers have requested it and it's something we are considering. But it's currently problematic. Main hassle being that the columns of data are really quite big and we would need to apply some constraints. What I can tell you is that we are talking about it.
    5. About the lightning strike: I will forward these questions to the person in charge of those skills. Unfortunately he is not in the office today so check back on Monday for some juicy facts!

    As for the achievement, it's known what to do, the big question is just where. Heard this achievement was bugged... don't know if it still is. That's a nice question for Lady Haruki:)

    I couldn't find if you ever got a reply, so here goes what I know.

    In this event the Lost Chalice Hunter and the Lost Hilt Hunter were both glitched, one per challenge map. After the boss from the sarcophagus was killed, you were supposed to open a chest nearby. Both were messed up.

    Several of the achievements were glitched from Day 1. Some achievements are deactivated when you change maps. The completion stays (x/x) but the points gray out and drop off your total. Support passed the info up the food chain, like kissing the wind.

    There is mount achievement for a turtle, but the temporary turtle is not the one for points, only the purchased turtle counts. Wording could have been better on that, but DSO did not deem it worth giving away 10 points. Worse, the entire achievement concept appears to have 0 priority now that the fires are burning.

    The hidden achievement in heroic deeds is glitched as well. It's the one between Mushroom Collector and the Egg Hunt. I heard it was supposed to be for freeing the raptor pet in Ataya's Sanctum for someone in Yaltepetl. It never made it to launch.

    We use the buddy system to fill in the holes in the lists.

    I went into the nightmare event map with a friend thinking myself to be strong. Tell the devs a level 50 player with endgame equipment has said "Thank you for making me feel like a level -50 noob again". If taking more players than yourself into the nightmare map means you have to spend 10k anders for revivals I would rather not do the map atall. If doing such maps means we always need to have one of those 27k hp dks spamming aggro, then i am close to the end of my tenure here at dso. I am not sure even 27k hp dks would be able to tank until their anders last.

    I just tried pvp after a long time, i pray to god that some of the devs have a endgame char in some live server and plays pvp there. pvp has become a joke.

    Highly unprofessional for a spokesperson representing BP DSO. Is this how you treat your customers? Bare in mind that it is your development team who upset the players by ignoring the test server feedbacks creating massive imbalance and failures (loot, bugs, etc.) in both PvP and PvE. This particular player may not have expressed his/her views in the most concise manner, but the message of his feedback was clear; that he/she was upset with the recent changes/failures and considered leaving the game. Your moderation team was and is unnecessarily over-aggressive in modifying and deleting posts. His message is quite representative of many other players' opinions on the matters. With your reply, it is quite clear that you (and those who you represent) could not care less about upset customers leaving. No attempts made to retain your loyal player-base who supported your game financially in the past.

    R155-157 is approximately 2 months. 2 months is a long time for over 1/3 of your player-base stuck with broken characters (namely DK players). I wonder how many players will return and of those who return, how many will choose to support the game financially in the future. Other classes (RA/Mage/SM) may also be more cautious in the future if what happened to DK can just as easily happen to them.

    This was handled poorly. With all the delays, it is rather disappointing to say the least.

    Not because you are a client or costumer have the right to lose control and forget manners, if you need something ask properly, learn to say thanks, also it's our right to yell, but even in under every circumstance we cant lose control on ourselves.

    I am not defending the way that particular player communicated his/her message.
    My statement was about how poorly the spokesperson replied.

    As an employer, if I catch my employee telling my upset customers (regardless whose fault it is, but in this case, fault is on BP) something along the lines of "don't let the door hit you on the way out," that said employee would be fired on the spot or will be the first to get canned on budget cuts, because such message reflects poorly on me and the company.

    Such statements made by the spokesperson shows immaturity, lack of respect for the customer (regardless if the customer deserved it or not) and lack of training.

    Most importantly, it gives a false impression of the tone from the top (management).

    Of course none of it matters if the spokesperson clearly expressed the message meant to be delivered by the top management.

    By giving the benefit of the doubt, one chooses the lesser of two evils, and that is the spokesperson was out of the line rather than the alternative: BP does not care for its player-base and/or bother to retain them. And if it is the alternative, then I feel sorry for those who choose to support this product financially in the future.

    Just for fun, I just have to say it, considering the massive changes that have been made this year, bug fixes, member request add ons, DSO improvements, not to mention 10 New Levels with brand spanking new Events, ... I personally am not complaining. I speak english, on the Grimag Server, if you chat in Germain, French or Spanish I can get the gist, Portuguese... not so much, cyryllic not at all. Otherwise Google is my friend. Sooo, Thank You CMs, PMs, Writers and Code Warriors. Many Thanks!
