    Hi,

Here is my opinion on a decent boss farming build:

All left side items must have critical hit and critical damage,
Wand must have x2 Damage % and x2 high damage lines, 5 slots with rubies
Book, x2 Crit dmg and x2 crit hit lines
Right side Dark helm, shoulders, boots, gloves. for 55%crit hit bonus and +10% dmg
Torso for farming x4 lines of damage if running a wand or 15% dmg if running two hand weapon
Adornment all crit hit or x3 crit hit x1 crit dmg

Farm, farm, farm, farm for gems and glyphs

Because some people think that their stats are top secret and if others knew, then they'd somehow be at a disadvantage. It is the same reason why people wear costumes that hide everything except their weapon and off hand.

I wear a costume because I think that Sargon's helmet looks stupid with Grimmag's Starry Robe. :)

True... Personally, I don't like the look of any of the DK helmets, but I still wear my regular armor sometimes.

I wear a costume cuz I'm tired of looking at the same gear for 20-30 levels.

i go the other way from him, i go Damage / run speed
i dont like Critical hit because its pointless having some.. ether max it or remove it..
i did the same for armor and res over run speed, if you can dodge every attack why do you need armor, because i remove parts i control my weakness well and others dont think to jump into singularity, so i keep them guardians and destruction flying every 10 seconds.. :O

That is a faulty assumption that a lot of newer players make. Because you'd start with 200% as the base crit damage and that multiplier works on your displayed damage (as opposed to base or weapon damage like the knowledge tree does) it can have a huge impact on your DPS/DPH. Even if you only have 10% crit chance (about 1110 crit) and no crit damage, your average DPS is increased by 10% vs having no crit rate but damage in its place. In a build with an average damage ((min+max)/2) of as little as 2000, that 10% crit chance does the same amount of help to your DPS as adding 200 damage. And, as said, this is before you even take into account having higher crit damage.

If you are using either the Darkness set or Witch Chaser set, or a Bloodtooth ring, that 10% is beyond easy to get. Using the lowest example, Bloodtooth, you only need 888 crit. That is equivalent to 4 very high crit lines... say on a weapon decoration, amulet, or ring. Now, let's replace those lines with 4 very high damage lines, say 33 each, and you'd gain 33*4*1.5=198... close enough to make an argument either way for the damage vs the crit. But if you increase your base damage over time by finding a better weapon or getting better gems, then you would still only get 198 from a pure damage item where as your DPS increase due to not ignoring crit would just keep going up and up along with your base damage.

Also, remember, I gave the example using Bloodtooth which only gives you 25%. You could get 33.3% and the 25% if you used a Bloodtooth and the witch set. That means you'd only need 700 crit from items to hit 10% and considering the hat has a random crit, you could likely do it with as little as 400 from an item. The same goes for the Darkness set... you can easily get 35%+5%+15%+25% with nice crit on both the shoulders and torso.

In closing, ignoring crit is a mistake. Once you reach the higher damages, it will serve your much better than damage alone due to the relative nature of crit and crit damage. The only class that can get away with a 0 crit build and still be considered "good" is a dwarf because their turrets' damage is not effected by speed, crit, or crit damage. DPS in this game has always been a balancing game and sometimes it helps to run the numbers. Check out this site; play with the numbers some and you will get a better feel for how to build for DPS in this game.
