Not bad, but your technique could use some work. You are taking too many hits and lose his agro too often and part of that is because your attack speed is too slow. The purpose of an agro tank is to have high attack speed to generate rage as fast as possible, and then to spam Battle Fury at a regular enough interval to not lose agro. To do that, you need to be able to get off about 6 attacks in the time that it takes him to get off 1. Including movement, this can sometimes be tough (unless you take a bunch of hits and build your agro that way), but there is an answer. Damage from an agro tank is irrelevant because if done right, it frees up the other players to go max damage and more than compensate for the lack of damage that you are putting out. My two recommendations is to use the attack speed pet if you have it, and to dump knowledge points from your damage into attack speed. A 2.00-2.30 speed is a good starting point.

P.S. You couldn't take the hit from his "Fire Destruction" beam because you only had about 35-40% of your max HP at the time. I only have 17K HP (vs your 21.9K) in the build that I use to tank this guy and I've taken one from full HP and survived. Unless your resist is really low, I'm sure you could too.

 

What Baragain Said and also why use blue? :/ Just go for max speed and crap dmg and don't waste your blue, it's pointless. Your dmg is insignificant anyway compared to the dmg dealers in the team.

A few days ago I found the best tank I met so far. He had I think over 3 speed, if not 4. He spammed like crazy that basic attack and the aggro skill ha ha hu hu hu hu ha ha HA HA HA HU HU HU HU HAHAHAHAHAHHUHHUHU WHEA WHEA WHEAAAAA and repeat

PS: of course you couldn't take the kamehameha attack. That guy's a super sayan, he will hit you over 9000

 

well i could tank him way more better, without taking hits, but i did it on purpose to show ppl brutal power of this boss

 

EDIT second ..... you need weapon with high attack speed and if possible to be axe you need also critical hit value .... you cannot run around grimmag cuz your teammates died 50 times .... pretty useless tank 5-6 ok by mistake but to lose aggro is really funny ..... and for tank that died 1 shot to say to the party "omg i had to use potion xD"

 

did u see that i was stading on his ultimate skill with 15% or 20% hp?
there was no tactic any way. i just showed there how weak theyr 8-12k hp is
they needed to stack in 1 spot, not to scater around the map to leave me no space on moving ageinst his monstrum attacks. take a better look on me tanking that dmg. i made mistake there when i used potion, cuz i was not contrated to much on gaming, cuz i was thinking about critics that wil be on this video, one like this, and what to answer on that what happend there. So what i did is that i showed to them, even they are not emo, how i'm as tanking and reciving those shots. those 5 points or more that i can use on moving around skill at skill tree. i could move, and if we made tactic like this, stand at one spot and enjoy with making dmg, but they scater around, and since i alredy figure out what we are doing, i have finished with thinking about Video name, so i used potion and continue. so Brutal power of Grimmag Q1 Fatal my friend, sit back and enjoy leave your bad comments on someone who started yestrday or what ever. just don't talk about me any my group that i lead how bad we are,cuz we have tactic for evry boss. soon il make Mortis fatal . hopefuly with same group, dude i have < (missing spot)< hp< and Decimator76 take that down in 2 seconds in pvp. so please don't post comments like you are talking to bunch of people that started yestrday. that guy have like 3.5att speed minimum and only he Know how much crt rate and attack speed he realy have,i just guess on his atk spd. entire group is bunch op, exept me, cuz i lack on ressitance that are 46% exept cold is 48%, cuz i boosted armor with gems, and so on, since my stats are , i like to keep it secret, even hp i don't like that i talked about it,but nvm

. set is yet not complete. i have video from heredur with my old gear, seams like i have to make new one, but i don't like to show off xD cuz i'm biggest nob here then you my friend stand in front of heredur and take hits like i did with my old stats xD or do that with grimmag . and yes i can survive his ulta attack of grimmag, but my hp was not full. you try to do that, he wil 3 times kill you xD even when he crits i can stand it .so please i don't need to show off, enjoy and relax

That is why I pick a 180° field of movement and keep to it... The damage dealers either move to the other side or die a couple of times while they figure out they are on the wrong side. Eventually, if they run with me often enough, they end up trained.

 

xaxaxa be easy as long as you want but exactly my favourite type of mages with 3+ attack speed when you put gnob weapon and they are like OP they have to fix it bla bla bla .... i tank grimmag without running around it and without using potions with blue cuz i use smash to steal some minor life from time to time and mage with 4k dmg is nothing special ^^ as long as morti fatal cannot give you any tips cuz i still havent tried it but for grimmag and balor im sure i can show you lots of things of course it needs some luck on getting some gear but its not that hard.... and dont take my posts like offence im trying to say that you can do it way better than you did

I think u should improve ur defenses. As a DK , ur death means hell for ur whole team. On fatal modes , unless ur going 2h and have another dk for tanking , u should give up on all ur offenses and carry only defenses. U dont have to deal any dmg on a fight like the one u show. U have to keep Grim on you and survive!

Btw , this has being one of the biggest problems with DK since they decided to adequate their gears with 2h weapons. They are forgetting in the end ,that they have to be face to face with mobs and i have seen very good DKs die like paper on 2h. Ofc they can be dmg dealers, but they cant forget their position on the fight!
