Critical hit rate

So as a ranger, which I have not played in a while as a ranger due to the broken balancing of the game. Currently I'm revisiting to get Draken from the Dragan event to finish the original Dragan set (black warlord), for my ranger which only needs 2 more capes (tier 1). I was looking at my stats and they are all pretty good for a (slowly) leveling (mostly) PvE ranger, except for crit rate. 8.15%. With about 200k glyphs to spare, my question is; What is the best (most efficient) way to raise crit without losing too much damage or defensive stats? Thank you.

Well, the answer is "Not the Black Warlord Set." It is awful for crit and you'd have to rely on one or two Bloodtooth rings and a quiver to compensate, but then you are missing out in other areas.

 

The Witch set is pretty good for crit. I use Witch set, bloodtooth, and crit on my right side (belt, adornment, and onyxes and I manage to pull off 67%. Use a quiver if you have to, but I am more of a shield guy. Hope this helps.

If I recall correctly, armor of darkness gives crit damage, and a lot of it. Does the helm give 35% crit rate? I can't quite remember. Anyway, dark set is a good choice, but that's quite a quiver you have there Trak, if it alone gives you 68%. I use the boots and gloves because i can't seem to find anything better and the set bonus is nice.

My quiver is not that good ... it could have been much better.
This is the quiver I am using since the Lor'Tac expansion.

 

What you really need for crit is enchantment/set bonuses that give % crit. The Darkness set, Bloodtooth, the Witch Chaser set, it the upcoming new New Moon sets are all oprions when it comes to this.
