    • Doing something you know to be against the forum guidelines is never a wise idea. The appropriate way to approach this is, as always, with support. If you take issue with one support team, you can send the ticket elsewhere, but the answer may be the same.
First of all, thanks for your response in general. However, there were a few misunderstandings. Perhaps because I wasn't clear enough.

This is correct when we're talking about the English support, I have experienced that and you're actually doing a good job. EDIT

Of course, 100% normal. I can totally understand this, but in my opinion that's where the Support could/should jump in and take a look.
I've sent multiple emails EDIT regarding 1 ranger+mage (and yes they were also sharing their accounts :)) using speed hacks in simply every map. Now, when there are multiple (at least 3-4) videos on this matter in which you can clearly see these speed hacks... Then I think it's time for Support to check both accounts on Third Party Programs. Am I incorrect? In that case, we could simply all cheat a bit :).

And that is why I wrote:
Reasons such as sharing accounts, trading accounts etc.

However (and I'm not saying this is true, I simply think it is), if you'd play on server Heredur, you might be familiar with one mage called EDIT(you will probably delete the name, but that's OK if you've seen it). This mage was also a bot-user and yeah, the entire server knew that and he even admitted it.
Why was he not banned? It's simple. EDIT which gave him the small hint of quitting the usage of the bot after 1 week. That way he was not banned (because the time gap between the bot usage and the ban wave was too big).

Again, these are rumours and I'm not saying it's correct or whatsoever.

I can understand that... it's fully normal. I'm just thinking it's not really normal to get a response such as:
    "Hello,

we have heard about this before,

    sincerely"

Not really a great reply to my email, in my opinion...

Or another example... getting the answer "we have investigated this matter" only 30 minutes after I sent my ticket.
Now, I know you can work fast, but I think this is a little bit extreme, don't you think? :D

And that's where the misunderstanding happened. I think I wasn't clear enough.
What you are saying is a pure example of logic, so I can't disagree with you. I wanted to clarify something else.
Now, when we take a brand new level 50 player that has not yet played for a long time and an old level 50 player (by that I mean a player that has played for a much, much longer time) and we compare their droprates... Then I (and really, I'm not the only one) can clearly see that this new player has extremely higher drop rates. Does it make sense? It surely does. To keep a game like this one alive, BP needs to attract new players that could potentially open their wallets for the company. So, of course, they do not wish to scare away their brand new players by giving them the same crappy drop rate as the old players.
That is 1 example, but there are others...

Now, please don't tell me I'm not correct and please don't tell me the drop rates are equal for everyone... We live in 2016 right now, and I don't think anyone would still fall for this joke. When I've had contact with several mods in the past (I will not give away any names) and they tell me the drop rates are everything but equal... Then what is your word worth?

To finish off, I hope you will not see any of my words as an offense towards you. If you do, please keep in mind that this is NOT my intention. I'm simply trying to make a statement, and if there are some words that could potentially be offensive, then I simply hope you won't interpret it like that.

Once again, thank you for your reply. Let's hope we can get some more replies, opinions and facts on this matter. Who knows? ;)

    Sincerely

  2. @Dylannn Thank-you for your reply. I apologise for my bluntness and for my part in any misunderstandings.
    1) English DSO Support is all I can really comment on. I am sure each language team does their best.
    2) We do not tolerate a/c trading or a/c sharing. Not so much because they violate the T&Cs of Use, but because they invariably cause massive problems for the a/c owner and endless headaches for the ticket faeries. Any bugs get reported ASAP. As do exploits. However... while we crack down hard on botting, a/c trading and a/c sharing, there is a lot of grey space between "abusing an exploit" and "making the most of a temporary 'feature'". If that 'feature' is available to all, and especially if it is possible to accidentally use it, then isolating individual incidences of (ab-)use, proving the case, and meting out punishment... well, it ain't exactly a priority.
    3) You claimed "if you pay enough and let that money roll, Bigpoint simply won't ban you for a small reason. Which only contains logic... why would you "kill" your money supply?". The implication that money spent by a player is a factor is incorrect. Players do not get away with breaches of the T&Cs of Use because they have a history of spending. Minor transgressions (e.g. petty chat abuse, exploiting 'features', etc) only cop a fairly short suspension for the simple reason that it is not Support's role to be militant enforcers. They primarily exist to help players with their issues/questions. Not to give them grief over the small stuff. And this applies to all players - F2P, P2P and anything in-between.
    4) In many cases, when a player reports a possible exploit abuse or bot case or major bug, etc, it has been reported at least half a dozen times already. All in the previous half hour. Ticket faeries don't mean to get snippy in their replies - unless provoked, of course - and they don't mean to seem ungrateful either (they do appreciate you taking your time to report an issue), but "This is a known issue...." generally means "We have already had this reported to us many times, we have investigated it thoroughly, reported it to BP at least a dozen times as being urgent, and have heard nothing back. So we are as pissed off and frustrated as you are".
    5) No. To the absolute best of my knowledge, drop-rates do not depend on such variables as age of a character or a/c, amount of hours spent in-game with a character, character class, paying history of a player (except for mystic cubes, of course), hair colour of a character, essence type (or none) used, country of origin of a player, chosen game language of an a/c, etc, etc. Sure, low-level uniques generally have a higher drop-rate than higher level world uniques, but someone who has had a character at Lvl 50 for 6 mths stands as much chance of getting a unique as someone who hit Lvl 50 yesterday after having only played for 2 weeks. There are no "cursed" a/cs and there are no favoured a/cs.

jeez, you guys need to chill. be a little more positive. dso community is full of hypocrites who complain as they play. I mean, you do realize that playing is supposed to be fun... right???
also, unless the player is hacking on pvp, you don't have to go out of your way to bully them.

This post isn't about this specific instance, just everything that happens here

Just because a player isn't directly affecting you does not mean you should ignore their sever violation of the T & C. We are not bullying... Just noticing. :)

    Ditto. ;)
