    Hey there,

Due to my flaky internet connection i sometimes lag out of the game. It quickly recovers, however when it automatically reconnects i'm being sent to the kingshill, consuming the map. This is the bug number 1.

But the problem escalates when I then try to enter the mine again. It brings me to the last instance from which I disconnected, instead of having a fresh one with all the nodes/monsters to unlock. This is the bug number 2 (or is this a feature?).

It unnecessary consumes a map, its kinda annoying for those of us who don't have a stable connection. I am aware that they meddled with the instance allocation during the PW boss bugs and the winter solstice minievents.

Please, before anyone replies with 'get a better connection' know this: you're not smart at all; this is a fixable issue. Currently the thin client relies on stable client connection to work properly. lol.

    Cheers

I feel you. It's been worse tho with stable internet connection the game kicked me. But with the current release so far I've never experience it again.
Being sent to city that just how it is, not a bug. Perhaps the developer can not find yet any better solution for dungeon map.
That is also let's just say a weakness in dungeon map system.. where there would be hundreds or even thousands instances created once player/group enter.
Quite complex to manage dungeon map system but I would say not impossible. I've been thinking solution to tackle this, kinda like:
    - Who is leaving the map?
This question can be answered since the map must have players information once inside the map.
This also for group, the system can check the group, which player(s) in group that does not in the map anymore..
    - How or Why the player leave?
    1. If the player(s) leave based on event being triggered(teleportation, log out, exit using door) then no issue.
    2. If the player(s) leave not because of any event, one possible problem is disconnected client. Then here must be manage.
    - Based on no. 2 case. The map must save all last information and keep it for certain period of time to wait just in case the player back online again. If in group doesn't have to, because other players in party still doing the map, or maybe save only the last drop that haven't being loot yet.
    - Exclude maps that potentially can be exploit such as PW boss map.
But I stop there :D there are other more important things to think about heheh..

I would know my internet speed just by starting the thin client. If the speed ok then the downloading status and the progress bar appear. If not ok they are not appear at all.
But I half agree with your statement since "stable" connection might drop sometimes while in game. So in my case stable in starting the client does not mean always stable in running the client.

Bug 1 is not a bug. That was implemented to prevent an exploit.

Bug 2 is unfortunate and it would be nice if BP could actually fix it.
