    Hello,

I will be brief because it is a single problem.

After the last update path 215 I noticed that Drakensang Online does not update anymore, in case it is the cache of 1.4 gb, but I can play anyway, however during the game the game is rendering, in this case a kind of simulation that I'm playing in a browser even though the game is installed on my computer.

My question is: Was this a change from the game development? Is it a bug in the client?

With 215 the game data wasn't "compressed" so you can't see in DSOClient folder files like
bundles_optional_bundle and bundles_required_bundle so everytime you enter a new map, there is a new emote, costume, pet, item in your map game must dowload files and files so sometimes "game freeze" for seconds.

When 215 come you've downloaded "all data files" in 3sec but you downloaded only 30MB not 1,4GB.

The result is that with 214 DSOCLient folder was 1,4GB big with 1.000 files and 215, after I entered in all map of normal and parallel world and in some event map in my DSOClient folder I've 30.000 files that use only 600MB of disk space.

    Hey there @Isley ,

This issue was reported on 4th March. Known issue and currently under investigation. Preloader is displaying 1500MB, but DSOClient folder reports less than that.
    Cheers.

Strange I reported this issue on 13th february in another official forum
    http://it.bigpoint.com/drasaonline/board/threads/dati-di-gioco-incompleti.62923/

I hope r216, that is not affected by this issue, will be online soon

    Hey there @Marsicanus ,

We've got a global information on 04th March. Probably italian team forwarded it to the development team before, but only on 04th March I was officially notified of that issue by the Community Manager.

    Cheers.

In server test from 216_0 to 216_5 file packed bundles_optional_bundle and bundles_required_bundle are OK, with latest buid 216_7 the problem come again.
Tomorrow r216 come on live servers so we'll continue to have freeze, lags and many other problem in game.

If the issue reappeared with the final release does it mean that BP wants it like this?

    Hello,

I'm the kind of person who does not like to get involved in issues with a game development team. But I would like to raise an exception, and take this occasion to ask a question the moderation of the forum:

Why has the Drakensang Online development team not yet made a complete migration from the Browser platform game to the PC?

My rationale for this question is that the game only currently works in a browser (Internet Explorer), and players have an additional option to install the Game Client on the PC, but the mechanics of game operation remain the same, which is a download of the game cache which is obviously the same operation in which I would play in the browser. In my personal opinion, this migration would solve this problem of optimization of the game, even knowing that the game's purpose is to be a browser from the beginning, but the current costs are preventing this work.

It is other way around, the game can be played on PC and Mac via Client. Playing in browser is just an extra option.
How exactly are you expecting application to run without files?

The only browser that can be played in ''browser'' is Internet Explorer, no other browser works because there is practically no java support for the most used browsers, I have to resort to Internet Explorer, or play via Client. The game only gives me these two minimal options.

There is a difference between the two gaming platforms: (Browser-games, PC-games).

Even Drakensang Online having a kind of Client to install on the computer, the operation of the game can not be affirmed that it is a PC platform game, briefly I consider Drakensang Online a kind of hybrid platform between: Browser-PC. But do not tell me it's 100% PC playing itself via-client.

Even the game client getting installed in the system programs folder like any other program or game, whatever... The post-downloaded game files are in the temporary files of the system, in this case there is no difference between me playing in the browser or in the client, the game is not normally installed like other games that would be in a fixed folder, for example in this folder here ==> '' Program Files; Program Files (x86) '', or elsewhere than in the temporary system files, I say it again because when I play Drakensang Online on internet explorer it downloads the game files and is stored in the temporary files of the system also that by the way is the same way the Client does is not true? Now tell me Mal3ficient where this equals a game normally installed completely in the right folder inside the system, downloaded all the content of the game, everything cute? Even a blind person would realize that this is not the same.

But why am I hitting the same key in this discussion?

When I'm going to do a cleanup using third-party programs, or the system program, I'll be forced to uncheck the (Temporary files) option, and I'll have to go to the %temp% folder and do the cleaning manually without deleting the folder: (DSOClient ), and there were already many cases that I did not delete the DSOClient folder doing the cleanup manually, and when I started Drakensang Online the client restarted the Download, however the game was already completely downloaded, and when I went to see the size inside of the folder (DSOClient), was less than 100 megs in size... Remembering, I unselected the temporary files option, both in third party programs, and that of Windowns itself to prevent Windowns from automatically deleting the folder (DSOClient).

So in summary, currently the game client has a bug in which they can not download the game cache, and the operation is practically the same when the player plays Drakensang Online in the browser, which causes the consequences of: Drop in optimization, rendering unnecessary playing on the client since it should have the 1.5 gb's of game installed is not it? And also the constant lag's, falls of fps in which I mean. These are the causes in which you are in a game that has a working mechanic that I will repeat for the last time: The base of the game is downloaded and installed in the folder of temporary files of the system, yes ... I refer again to the 1.5 gb's in size.

    Regards.
