Agree that anything bad/worse can be expected here, but it would really seem out of all reason if this scroll would block out really new CONTENT.

It seems to me much more likely that the quest they are talking about is limited to offering additional, probably superfluous, rewards.

It would be really a shame if the access, for example, to new worthy sets or jewels, would be subordinated to completing this senseless event, which was also released on the days when many people (like myself) are on vacation and do not even think about opening the game.

I don't think we are in the same event. None of these "tables" makes any sense compared to what I'm seeing in this Rocket event.

At the time I wrote that, I had not yet been in the Lab. Most of the first chart makes sense.

However, for the Mixtures, I'm getting 1 to 10 per map run regardless of difficulty. Don't know anyone that has gotten more than 10 and it's so random that nobody could hope to calculate how many maps need to be farmed to get the "24per" entrance fee's. To boot, we all are not getting the same "average", if we spent the time needed to keep close enough records to actually average it.

Then, on top of that it depends, once you get that cloak from the 3/3 quest, how long it takes you to clear the lab (solo or group would have to be maintained for entire duration), to determine how many Mixtures you would need for that time period.

So, what are the tables past the first supposed to be telling us?

My guild is going by the guide that you need to have 480 Mixtures (20 runs) before you activate the cloak, which is 6-7 runs per hour.
(You only get 7-14 drops per lab run, so not a lot of process time, plus we all have the smelter and peddler.)

for a decent value of the drop average we need almost hundreds of run; also with 50/60 run you don't have a significant average: I've made 50 run in normal mode and the drop is (5,12 ± 2.09) mixtures, but this means that you can drop 3 or 7 mixtures in one run...as I said before, not significant. so if you talk about few runs obviously the average will shift from a player to another.
(if I manage to do more runs I'll post a table :D)

right, for this I didn't take in count this situation and made calcs with and without the attire.
simply you have to collect enough mixtures for 3 hours, depending of the strength of the char, and then calculate how many runs you need for yor target.
that tables are not the bible, they can be useful to have an estimate of what you need for complete the event, to have an idea of the time needed...

    read above...
I'm not saying that you need exactly that number of run, but that, given certain circumstances (same difficulty, attire or no attire, quest or no quest, drop in map low or high), you will end in making a number of runs of the order of the numbers in the table; the exact run calculus must be a personal question depending from a lot of factors.

I hope I've clearly explained why I made and post the tables, it was only to give an instrument to understand how to manage this "event".
if you have advice or other comments, please tell me.

The quest is doable every 5 runs 100%.
If it wasn't for 20x Hasta la vista Babies requirement it could be done in 2 runs without a single destroyed crate. But since there are only 4 of them you need to make 5 runs.

You can finish the event and still not solving the quest for the attire :)
You haven't read my guide :p I clearly said there "re-take the quest if necessary".
That means you can finish all quest lines and cancel it before speaking with Professor Jullov ... then take it again and cancel it again and so on.
You don't have to finish the quest until you are ready and have enough Oiltastic mixtures.
I know players who almost finished all the progress bar with that 3 hours attire ... but you don't need to play that way.
I have the Winter Solstice Rocketmen attire so I am not in a hurry ... I am crafting cigarettes and smoking more than I play :D
As for the mixtures ... there is a way to farm them faster. ;)

Yes, you need 5 run to complete the RE quest, but in a pair of difficulty when you finish the n-th RE quest (multiple of 5) the remaining progress can be done with 2 or 3 normal runs, without the necessity to give again the RE quest...this is what I want to say :)

What in tar-nation kind of answer is that???

    .

The reality is that there are 8 groups of 5 rocket boys. Each group should have been dropping 1-5 Mixtures. That would give us 8 - 40 Mixtures per map. Then nobody would be complaining and we'd all be having "fun" (not really sure what that is anymore in this game).

    Have you seen the movie?

Do you know how to keep a clean road on M1 during Kranparus Challenge? Well the process is similar to this one.
There are few ways of speeding up farming and one of them is covered in my guide.

I've not a clue as to what movie it is. I would have guessed it was from 3 different movies and a YouTube video, considering there are 4 characters (including the cat) and none of them seem to be in the same low-cal.

You stink it up with a dead character in the party. This last Kranparus I just cleared the first map each time (including going to Big Paws), considering that I only did 2 runs for each of the 3 Kranparus mini's.

the movie is "il buono, il brutto, il cattivo" (the good, the ugly, the bad, freely translated), Sergio Leone, 1966 - soundtrack by Ennio Morricone.

it is a masterpiece of western cinema, as well as the soundtrack; has redefined the canons of the genre and is at least at the same height as classics and milestones as "high noon", "stagecoach", "unforgiven", "the wild bunch", "rio bravo", "c'era una volta il west", "soldier blue" and many others .. .

    p.s. sorry for the OT.

I realized it by myself. Saw friends farming mixtures in a way that could be not explained on this forum. It allows to save about 50% of time on each run.

Anyway, EDIT it is and EDIT remains. I farmed 400 mixtures and feeling puke now.

This year I will envy all the "heroes" who conquer the Dragan scroll, and thanks to it become gods in the game, next year I will follow in their footsteps. At the moment, I have much better to do.
